About Us
Turning our dreams into your escape
Kavillo Studios rests on a serene 30-acre property lovingly created by husband-and-wife duo, Michael and Emma. Along with our two children, Oak and Olive, we transformed a blank canvas—land inherited from Michael’s grandmother—situated right next to his parents’ wedding venue and family home. With passion and dedication, we planted over 4,000 trees, built a road, and relocated power lines to shape this beautiful landscape.
As sculptors and artists, we have infused our creative spirit into every corner of our accommodations. Michael has been sculpting and creating art since childhood, and he proudly taught Emma to weld, enabling us to collaboratively craft unique pieces for our studios.
For nearly two years, Michael was onsite daily, pouring his heart and soul into bringing our vision to life. We constructed the studios ourselves, with assistance from skilled tradespeople, ensuring every detail reflects our dedication and commitment to high standards. To further enhance our project, we worked with local architect Cameron Anderson, whose expertise helped us create four eco-friendly, striking studio accommodations that celebrate the beauty of nature and art.
Each studio is filled with personal touches—sculptures and handcrafted furniture—inviting you into a sanctuary where memories are made and the spirit of the land is cherished.
We look forward to welcoming you to our little piece of Paradise.

The Build
Michael and Emma were inspired to create a high-quality tourism accommodation destination that complemented the luxury wedding venue next door, owned and run by Michael’s parents.
With their artistic and sculptural experience, they sought to craft a unique experience through intricate architectural geometry. This vision took form as a rammed earth wall and a folded sheet metal roof, evoking the essence of camping with a tent-like structure that drapes gracefully over the spaces below.
